Construction of an Illustrated Booklet on the Morphological Characteristics of the Baby's Oral Cavity

Abstract

Introduction: The practical experiences of health professionals and their ability to observe the reality of the community provide training spaces to equip them with professional skills. Spaces such as dental prenatal consultations and growth and development (CD) consultations allow monitoring and care for the baby. Objective: To report the development of an informative-educational instrument on the morphological characteristics of the baby's oral cavity. Methodology: From the knowledge that was built during the twenty-four months of specialization and the review of the scientific literature available in electronic databases in health, a booklet was designed, structured and illustrated, in digital format (PDF). Final remarks: The development of an informative-educational instrument, aimed at the target audience in question, can be an important strategy and tool in improving the knowledge and practices developed within the scope of the SUS. It is also a way of disseminating information that can support conduct, resulting in more resolution and efficiency.
