Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The multidisciplinary work in Primary Health Care (PHC) points to the need for teamwork that involves taking responsibility for promoting the health of the population. The distribution of functions and the adequate performance of the different categories, as well as the synchronization of teams aimed at achieving a common objective, is important for excellence in the execution of all services available at this level of care. OBJECTIVE: To identify, categorize and detail the flows and attributions of professionals in some clinical cases in the lines of care addressed by the FortaleceRAS Project. DEVELOPMENT: The FortaleceRAS project tutor and professionals from the categories Physicians, Community Health Agents, Nurses and Nursing Technicians from a UBS in one of the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Rio Grande do Norte participated in this meeting. The activity began with the delivery, to each participant, of papers with the different attributions of the professionals and the lines of care, in a table the PHC professionals were listed, so each participant should relate the attribution he received with the responsible professional, according to the National Primary Care Policy. After everyone assigned the functions to the category they believed to be responsible, the tutor began the approach by discussing the attributions and correctly relating each one of them to the professionals. RESULTS: At the time, it was seen that many functions were unknown or deviated from the responsible category, the perceptions of the training participants were of surprise and at the same time excitement, as they reported that this content would be of great importance for the analysis and adequacy of their professional performance and of their workmates in order to understand themselves as active actors in primary health care for the population, as well as to implement the challenges proposed by the Fortaece RAS project. CONTRIBUTIONS TO SUS AND THE POPULATION: The presence of a well-prepared and structured team in the PHC is essential to improve the quality of life of the population. Therefore, it is essential to invest in the education and training of these professionals. Thus, it is important that each health professional understands the importance of their role and works to develop their skills and knowledge to offer the best possible care to patients. When these knowledge and skills are properly applied, care is more effective and efficient, contributing to better health outcomes.
