Abstract

Introduction: Appropriate communication favors the building of trust among all workers who provide Primary Health Care (PHC), directly influencing the care process, in addition, it generates bonds that help to improve the team's performance and, consequently, generates greater user satisfaction. Objective: To report on the contributions of the FortaleceRAS project to improve communication in a PHC service in the municipality of Extremoz-RN. Development: The tutor made periodic visits to the health service in question, where he applied introductory modules related to the FortaleceRAS project, throughout the presentation of the material the tutor always drew attention to teamwork and the importance of communication, and at the end of the During the meeting, reflective questions about communication were presented. In theory, the tutor developed works that promoted the professionals' reflection as collective and individual subjects and their collaborations in the health unit. Results: The FortaleceRAS project brought a space for speech where it favored the expression of the feelings of each professional and the work done both collectively and individually by the team, aligning practices together and directing the work and assistance process towards a welcoming and shared service . Strategies were designed to unify professional-professional and professional-user communication, from the care provided in the area with the ACS to the professional who provides care at the health service. Contributions to the SUS and the population:  After the meetings with the tutor, the professionals began to develop a collaborative work among the team and began to hold meetings to discuss the demands of the service and the community, improving the progress of professional activities. It is also noteworthy that relations with the community were strengthened, as professionals began to understand communication as an element that increases the chances of success in health care. Thus, communication should be part of the routine in the team's work environment.
