Abstract

Introduction: Obesity is considered a disease on the rise worldwide, appearing as one of the great pandemics of today. Objective: The study aims to report the experience of tutors from the FortelaceRAS project, about the qualification of a care flow for the LCSO in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte and their contributions to optimize the care process for people with overweight and obesity. Development: This is a descriptive study, of the experience report type, with qualitative characteristics and cross-sectional time frame. The report describes the experience lived by tutors through the project carried out in the VII Health Region of Rio Grande do Norte, entitled FortaleceRAS, which is part of the Support Program for Institutional Development of the Unified Health System (PROADI-SUS), together with the Syrian Beneficent Association (Hcor), started in September 2022. Critical Analysis: After these trainings with the conceptual themes, the process of implementing the Lines of Care began, the first being the LCSO. The municipality of Extremoz presented the current flow and it was observed that adaptation and adjustments were necessary. Then, the process of qualifying the LCSO's care flow began, which took place in three stages, each carried out through meetings. Final Considerations: The benefits of creating the flowchart include favoring the comprehensiveness process, reducing the burden on certain health services, and even improving care and guidance for overweight and obese patients
