Abstract
The present study aimed to analyze the initial experience of the construction of a municipal policy and plan for permanent health education (PEH). This is an experience report, which took place through Microinterventions (MI I, II, III, IV and V) from April to November 2024, in the municipality of Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, which moved towards the study and beginning of the construction of a draft of the municipal policy and plan for PEH. The potential of the MIs were: adherence of the participants; consistent prior knowledge about health and continuing education; involvement of new actors in each MI; reflective study on the Potiguar PEH Policy; commitment to the continuity of work; satisfactory evaluations of the participants; use of active methodologies. About the challenges: expectations of maintaining the work and results; encouragement of the adhesion of other actors; work overload of those involved; tensions over urgent demands; breadth of PHE needs. From the MI, it was possible to carry out unprecedented and sanitary actions in Mossoró regarding the construction of the Municipal PEH Policy and Plan based on the PEH Collective, intersectoral working group, active and participatory methodologies, articulation of sectors, services and institutions around the PEH theme.
